Ahmed BOUBRIMA

Faculty Researcher (Tenured) at INRIA

AGORA team, Lyon

Research Interests: Sensor and Drone Networks

Biography

Dr. Ahmed Boubrima is a permanent/tenured faculty researcher at INRIA (AGORA team, Lyon, France) since October 2023 with research interests in sensor networks, drone networks, wireless sensing, and environmental sensing.

Prior to his current position, he was the Lead Postdoc of the ASTRO project (2019-2022) at Rice University (Texas, USA), where he worked on autonomous data-driven mobile sensing via networked drones.

Ahmed did his Ph.D. at the CITI-lab in Lyon as he worked between 2015 and 2019 on building an energy-efficient sensing platform for air quality monitoring. During his Ph.D., he was also a teaching assistant at INSA-Lyon and a visiting researcher at the University of Ottawa, Canada. Ahmed received the master's and engineering degrees in computer science from the École Nationale Supérieure d'Informatique, Algiers, in 2015.
